I missed the beginning of the chase, and didn’t hear what the guy was wanted for, but he obviously didn’t want to get caught. Win some, lose some, pal.

Humboldt Co SO has finished up a pursuit about 4:30 pm, which I first picked up when they were going west on Murray Road from Central, chasing a red station wagon with Washington license plates; he turned south on McKinleyville Avenue and accelerated up to 70 and 80 mph through residential areas, and was last reported west on Railroad, and possibly south on Thiel toward Hiller.
Deputies next reported him headed east on School Rd. Somewhere near the freeway he turned around and headed back west on School, but when he approached Roger’s Market he chose the dumbest of his three options, turning north on Fischer Avenue where he crashed into a house at the dead end in the 1800 block. Took off on foot with a deputy in foot pursuit, and after jumping a fence, injuring his hands in the process, he was detained behind a house at gunpoint until a second deputy caught up and he was taken into custody. An ambulance was called due to his hand injuries and CHP was requested, possibly to handle the investigation..
