They’re releasing some engines from the Alliance Road fire. A commander tells dispatch that he’s waiting for some crew to arrive to begin “mop-up” duty. Traffic control in effect on Alliance.

Blue Lake Fire, which was called in to assist or cover for Arcata, is being sent home.

Firefighters made forced entry into a building near the Alliance fire.

Firefighters report that the fire’s forward progress has been slowed, but is still burning. They’re calling for more resources. The fire seems to be along Alliance, mostly — somewhere near the 2200 block.

More units responding to the Arcata Fire. “Flames are halfway up the hillside” toward a home, one firefighter reports. Units heading to Sunset and Western, which seems to offer better acces to the flames.
