Scenic IC now reporting that the Coast Guard has been released, and the patient has been loaded into a stokes basket to be rope-rescue carried up to the ambulance.

6561 just radioed to the IC, “nice job tonight, look forward to working with you guys again.” From the message timing and his tone of voice, it didn’t sound like they took the patient by air, but not sure
unofficial / 12:32 a.m.
Helo 6561 asked the IC [on the ground with a portable radio I can’t pick up] how soon he expects to know when the patient will be ready, as the pilot (apparently) needs to decide about his fuel needs “within 25 minutes” depending on how the patient is going to be removed
unofficial / 12:06 a.m.
6561 inquiring if patient’s condition appears such that she could be could be lifted by the swimmer without a backboard. Alternatively, he needs to know if there’s *enough room* to lower the swimmer with a rescue basket and lift her up in that without anyone getting tangled up in the trees. [I’m not hearing the responses from the people on the ground.
