There seems to be tremendous confusion over communications at the Redcrest traffic collision. A childbirth in progress is now traveling northbound on 101 from Myers Flat and Cal Fire and City Ambulance dispatchers are attempting to identify which units are available for the new incident and what is still needed to respond to the traffic collision. It sounds as though Reach 18 transported one patient from the collision and the ground ambulance took the other but is not communicating with their dispatch

1 additional aircraft is on order for the Redcrest incident but has not yet accepted the mission

Reach 5 circled the mill then landed on the highway. The southbound lanes of 101 will be shut down

Fire is on scene with two patients trapped and requiring extrication equipment.

Multiple agencies are responding to a traffic collision with one vehicle reported off the roadway with 4 occupants trapped and possible major injuries. Helicopter Reach 18 advised that they copied the fire dispatch and are still in the area (possibly from the earlier collision in the area of Garberville) and may be available. Reach 18 has now accepted the mission and will be landing at the Dyerville Overlook
