Reach 5 has landed and Fickle IC reports that the patient is packaged and being moved off the mountain. He will likely be transported by ambulance to the helicopter which has landed on a property in the area

Fickle IC has relayed coordinates for a planned landing zone on a property below the observatory. It appears that the rescue is at Top of the World. Reach 5 is between Hyampom and Kneeland still flying towards the incident

Fickle IC is sending Kneeland Fire units to search the area for a landing zone for the helicopter

Arcata Fire units have arrived on scene and established Fickle IC. Cal Fire dispatched confirmed with Fickle IC that Reach 5 was the aircraft enroute and that their ETA is 2325. Arcata Fire resources are starting to work their way down to the patient.

REACH 5 has just departed Redding Municipal Airport enroute to the Fickle Hill incident

REACH 5 (an ALS air ambulance without hoist capabilities) is enroute to the Fickle Hill incident from Redding with an ETA of 2325. Unknown to me where they expect to land the aircraft in that area to load the patient. Incorrect helicopter ordering was also an issue on the rescue from the dam above Blue Lake in Spring of this year

(I believe an incorrect order for an air ambulance instead of a hoist ship occurred on the rescue at Top of the World on Fickle Hill a few months back as well)

Arcata Fire and Arcata Ambulance responding to a 25 year old male who reportedly fell 100 feet down an embankment. Arcata Ambulance requested additional fire resources and a helicopter. Ambulance dispatched advised that an air ambulance was being requested. It is unclear if Arcata Ambulance wants a hoist aircraft for an air rescue or an air ambulance for transportation, but it sound like an air ambulance is what dispatch is ordering.
