To clarify the “shots fired” call: Officers at the scene tell dispatch that law enforcement personnel were the ones who fired.

The search for the suspect is occurring in the area of the greenbelt South of 5th and East of T street

A passenger from the suspect vehicle is detained at the crash scene. 2 Civilians are reported to be injured from the crash. No officers were involved in that collision but the suspect vehicle reportedly struck 2 EPD vehicles multiple times. EPD and HCSO are running a roll call to confirm that no officers are injured

Officers are still searching for the suspect. Medical is being requested code 3 for injuries at the crash scene. Unknown if the suspect was shot, but he is reported to be running from the scene

A brief vehicle pursuit occurred after the shooting, I believe the vehicle crashed at V and 9th and the suspect took off on foot. A passenger may have jumped from the vehicle at the initial scene. Unknown what the initial cause of the shooting was. All officers are ok
