Battalion 8201 is “Delta IC” with a multifamily possibly wood frame structure with light gray, low pressure smoke. Two out has been established and they are making a fire attack. Requesting 5 minute par checks for Fortuna

Arcata Structure Fire: 800 Block of D street, fire in a multistory,
multifamily apartment complex. The call was initially dispatched as an alarm sounding in the area. Engine 8215 is at scene requesting a full structure response; Arcata Fire all call

The suspect fled on foot into the brush. Deputies are not pursuing at this point. There is an empty holster in the vehicle

The driver has turned off onto a possible logging trail, speeds of 10 mph

The pursuit is continuing roughly eastbound on the dirt road. The suspect dumped a backpack out the window. Speeds have been between 20-35 MPH, likely reflecting the road conditions. They have turned at one fork in the road and seem to be working through a labyrinth of small dirt roads in that area.

HCSO is out at the residence. Fire and medical have been canceled and it appears not as reported

HCSO received an additional call reporting that the residence is in the 6000 block of HW 36 which appears to be the same location that deputies were diverting to

HCSO was unable to locate the gunshot victim on Maple Ln. and no neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Deputies are enroute to another residence that may be associated with the victim. The RP disconnected during the original call and HCSO dispatch has been trying to recontact. The dispatcher also reported that they were unable to ping the phone
