Pretty chilling reporting on the Brett Watson restraining order hearings from the T-S’s Jackson Guilfoil. According to Guilfoil, Arcata city attorney Nancy Diamond testified that she became scared of the former city councilmember after receiving a warning from Arcata police chief Brian Ahearn.

Excerpt:

“(Ahearn) said the most potential for violence was Mr. Watson shooting himself on the dais,” Diamond said.

She said Ahearn added that the council would have to go into active shooter protocol — run, hide and fight — if this happened. Diamond testified that she feared Watson targeting her and other council members before committing public suicide.
