Eureka Major Injury Traffic Collision Update: The pedestrian has been transported in critical condition by ambulance code 3 with HBF Truck 8181 firefighters onboard to assist with life support. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene after the collision. Southbound Broadway is closed at 15th. The closure is likely to last through much of the night as EPD detectives conduct the collision investigation. Unrelated, a down power line at F Street and Everding is causing a power outage over a large swath of central Eureka. PG&E is on scene of that incident and working to restore power.
