In reference to Unoffical’s previous posts, there appears to have been an incident on Highway 36 near Carlotta. There will be a hard closure of Highway 36. Multiple law enforcement agencies are enroute to the area to search for the suspect. It sounds as though this may have been an officer involved shooting.

HCSO advising CHP the “correct location” is not on Rohnerville Rd but on Hwy 36 between Demello Rd & River Bar Road, and they want CHP to block east end at River Bar Rd, deputies will handle Demello Road. Caltrans being notified to respond for a hard closure of that section of Hwy 36

Meanwhile, CHP and HCSO have been in pursuit of a motorcycle for 30+ minutes east on Hwy 36 toward Trinity County, CHP helicopter enroute. Speeds were intermittently over 100 mph. Unknown [to me] where the pursuit started or the reason. The m/cycle didn’t pass the highway worker near the Trinity County line, side roads are being checked now by ground units and CHP Air unit
