Petroleum Incident in Manila

A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Manila at around 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

Per NRC report **** THIS IS A POTENTIAL RELEASE **** " POTENTIAL DISCHARGE OF GASOLINE FROM AN ABANDONED JEEP THAT ENDED UP IN THE WATER DUE TO AN UNKNOWN CAUSE AT THIS TIME."

This was the 1st hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Manila area this year and the 1st petroleum spill in the county overall.
