Incident in Samoa
A new hazardous materials incident has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Samoa at around 10:02 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
***POTENTIAL FOR RELEASE*** People in the area of Samoa Beach noticed a vehicle is stuck in the surf on the north jetty approximately 300 yards of the business park. They reported it to Humboldt County Sheriff's Department Dispatch, who is requesting a response in order to secure the vehicle and to prevent a release from occurring.. Vehicle is unoccupied and has been described as a red full-size Chevrolet pickup truck.
This was the 1st hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Samoa area this year.
