Sewage Incident in Arcata

A new hazardous materials incident involving sewage has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a residence in Arcata at around noon on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

Per the caller due to construction a main sewer line that has been fractured causing the release. The RP has called local authorities and they have not responded to her complaints.

This was the 1st hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Arcata area this year and the 1st sewage spill in the county overall.
