Petroleum Incident in Bridgeville

A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near road, waterways in Bridgeville at around noon today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

Caller states unknown amount of diesel released from one truck side saddle tank. Release made it into the Burr creek at Alderpoint Rd. and Sturm 4 miles from Bridgeville, CA. The release originated on private land. Driver of the truck passed away along with 20 cattle he was hauling. Fish and Wildlife will conduct cleanup.

This was the second hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Bridgeville area this year and the 52nd petroleum spill in the county overall.
