Petroleum Incident in Trinidad
A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Trinidad at around 6:50 p.m. today.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
RP states that an unknown oil sheen was identified in the water drifting into shore. The sheen is currently 25 feet from the end of Trinidad Pier. Unknown source of the sheen. Unknown cleanup.
This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Trinidad area this year and the 19th petroleum spill in the county overall.
