Petroleum Incident in Willow Creek

A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a road in Willow Creek at around 1:25 p.m. today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

Tanker truck accident caused the release, it is unknown what is inside the vehicles main storage tank or if it is leaking, material is flowing onto soil down a grade, no additional location information could be provided, unknown who is handling the containment and clean up.

This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Willow Creek area this year and the 28th petroleum spill in the county overall.
