Petroleum Incident in Orleans
A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Orleans at around 10:30 a.m. today.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
Caller states he came upon a car that he found leaking oil in the river due it being partially submerged. Unknown if stopped not contained. Waterways are impacted.
This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Orleans area this year and the 44th petroleum spill in the county overall.
