Chemical Incident in Unincorporated County Area Humboldt
A new hazardous materials incident involving chemical has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Unincorporated county area Humboldt at around 9:53 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
Per the caller a Caltrans project has release lead into Pecwan Creek causing a lead level of 7,700 PPB. This is at the mouth of the Klamath and Pecwan
This was the third hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Unincorporated county area Humboldt area this year and the first chemical spill in the county overall.
