Biomedical, Sewage Incident in Eureka

A new hazardous materials incident involving biomedical, sewage has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a road in Eureka at around 10 a.m. today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

RP states a program manager noticed medical waste and human waste in a alley way. Has been stopped and contained with no waterways impacted. Contractor has been notified.

This was the ninth hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Eureka area this year and the first biomedical, sewage spill in the county overall.
