Petroleum, Unspecified Incident in Unincorporated County Area Humboldt
A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum, unspecified has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Unincorporated county area Humboldt at around noon on Friday, June 1, 2018.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
RP states that their neighbor has miscellaneous waste that includes gas cans, old appliances, oil containers, propane tanks, and other general waste on their property. RP states that runoff from the waste pile is running through their property and is killing vegetation. The runoff also drains into a nearby creek.
This was the fourth hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Unincorporated county area Humboldt area this year and the first petroleum, unspecified spill in the county overall.
