Petroleum Incident in Bridgeville
A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a road in Bridgeville at around 7:43 a.m. today.
About 10 gallons of a substance described as “oil” were released to the environment, according to the person who called in the report.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
Caller states due to a solo logging truck overturn approx 10 gallons of oil has released onto soil on the right hand shoulder. No waterways were impacted and at the time of this report it is unknown who will be handling the cleanup
This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Bridgeville area this year and the 19th petroleum spill in the county overall.
