Incident in Weott

A new hazardous materials incident has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a road in Weott at around 10:37 a.m. today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

RP states: CalTrans Painted the freeway and the paint is going into the redwoods spillways. The paint goes from Weott 101 to Rio Del 101 highways. Caller is concerned about the paints impact on the environment.

This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Weott area this year.
