Petroleum Incident in Unincorporated County Area Humboldt

A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Unincorporated county area Humboldt at around 2:30 p.m. today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

PER NRC REPORT, "THE CALLER DISCOVERED AN UNKNOWN SHEEN FROM AN UNKNOWN SOURCE INTO HUMBOLDT BAY."

This was the sixth hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Unincorporated county area Humboldt area this year and the 52nd petroleum spill in the county overall.
