Petroleum Incident in Trinidad
A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Trinidad at around 8:30 a.m. today.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
RP stated that he was walking on the pier in Trinidad and noticed a sheen in the water that smelled like diesel. Caller does not know what the cause or source of the sheen is.
This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Trinidad area this year and the 23rd petroleum spill in the county overall.
