Sewage Incident in Fields Landing
A new hazardous materials incident involving sewage has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.
According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a residence in Fields Landing at around 11:30 a.m. today.
About 60 gallons of sewage were released to the environment, according to the person who called in the report.
Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:
Reporting party states due to a main line blockage there was a release of 60 gallons of sewage onto gravel and grass. The release is stopped and contained. No waterways impacted. Reporting party conducted the clean up.
This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Fields Landing area this year and the 17th sewage spill in the county overall.
