Incident in Eureka

A new hazardous materials incident has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a road in Eureka at around 1:30 a.m. today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

Per the NRC Report : "Caller reported a release of an unknown amount of unknown materials from a trailer at the incident location. Caller stated the trailer caught fire but has been extinguished. Caller stated the trailer was a recreational vehicle." Remedial Actions : "Humbolt County FD extinguished fire"

This was the ninth hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Eureka area this year.
