As a community of over 1,400 researchers, practitioners, consultants, and administrative professionals from all backgrounds and life experiences, we are committed to making a qualitative difference in the lives of youth, children, and adults. We conduct and apply research, develop evidence-based solutions, and provide consulting services across the country in both rural and urban communities to improve equitable outcomes for individuals from infancy through adulthood.
We are seeking Early Childhood Mathematics Tutors to support a federally funded research project focused on early math education. This initiative, supported by the U.S. Department of Education, evaluates the impact of tiered early math curricula on preschoolers’ mathematical development before kindergarten.
As a core member of the implementation team, you will work with pairs of preschool children in public preschool programs, delivering engaging math activities five days a week. The goal is to expand young children’s access to quality math learning and better prepare them for elementary school—while also supporting families and educators with effective tools and strategies.
Tutors will receive training to ensure high-fidelity delivery of the curriculum and will be responsible for implementing it consistently throughout the 2025–2026 school year. All instructional materials will be provided. In addition to teaching, tutors will maintain detailed records of each child’s math performance to support the project’s research and evaluation goals. Individual will travel throughout the Eureka School District, $30hr.
This is a part-time (approximately 15–20 hours per week), temporary position. Approximately 75% of the role will focus on direct tutoring, with the remaining 25% dedicated to record-keeping and team communication.
