The Great Redwood Trail Agency is seeking qualifications from experienced, professional grant writers to establish a pool of on-call consultants who will assist GRTA in securing funding to support the planning, design, construction, operations, and programming for the Great Redwood Trail.

We are looking to establish a pool of grant writers with expertise across diverse sectors. Due to the comprehensive nature of the Great Redwood Trail, funding is needed to support a variety of initiatives in areas such as:
• Infrastructure development (trails, campgrounds, recreation facilities)
• Green infrastructure
• Educational programming
• Maintenance
• Public art
• Ecological restoration
• Habitat conservation
• Land acquisition, access, and habitat conservation
• Accessibility (adaptive recreation equipment & amenities)
• Wildfire prevention, fuels reduction, vegetation management, fire resilience
• Emergency response
• Workforce development
• Community capacity building
• Small business development
• Regional economic development

Applicants should demonstrate experience in successfully obtaining funding in any of the areas mentioned above and/or the funding types and programs listed in the Request for Qualifications: On-Call Grant Writing Services Pool on our website. This is an on-call, remote, consultant position, not a fully benefitted staff position. Include your hourly rates or any proposed alternative rate structure for compensation in your submittal.
