Compensation: $20 to $22 per hour
Employment Type: Part Time, up to 30 hours per week

About the Role
The Administrative Assistant supports daily operations at the Gene Lucas Community Center. This is a hands on, community facing position that combines front desk support, scheduling, event coordination, administrative tracking, and facility assistance.
You will work closely with the Director of Operations and Center Director to help keep programs, rentals, and campus activities running smoothly.
This position requires flexibility and may include evenings and weekends.
Schedule is typically Monday through Saturday, 4 to 5 days per week, based on programming and events.
Responsibilities Include
• Serve as the front desk point of contact and welcome visitors
• Answer phones and respond to general inquiries from the public
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings, programs, rentals, and events
• Support board and staff meetings including scheduling, reminders, and preparation
• Assist with billing, invoicing, payment tracking, and administrative logs
• Maintain organized filing systems and program records
• Support operational communication with tenants and community partners
• Assist with room setup, breakdown, and light cleanup for programs and rentals
• Help monitor facility use during events and rentals as scheduled
• Maintain office supplies and support general office organization
• Assist with basic website updates and marketing support
• Help maintain shared community engagement spaces
• Work collaboratively with staff on events and special projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
This position requires physical activity including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
• Basic computer proficiency
• Working knowledge of standard office equipment and administrative technology, including printers, phones, email systems, and electronic calendars
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or comparable software
• Ability to create and edit basic documents and spreadsheets
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working with the public
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends
Preferred but not required
• Associate’s degree
• Two to five years of administrative or customer service experience
