$6,640 - $8,071 monthly

Base salary to increase by 3% in July 2026.

Help shape the future of housing in Eureka over the next decade. This position will perform a central role in developing and implementing the City’s next Housing Element by guiding housing policy and programs through the upcoming planning cycle. Responsibilities include managing complex planning initiatives; preparing and presenting policy analyses, reports, and data-driven insights to City leadership and commissions; and collaborating with community members and partner agencies. As part of Eureka’s small and collaborative Planning Team, this position will also contribute across a broad range of planning work. The ideal candidate brings strong project management and analytical skills, expertise in zoning and environmental review, the ability to translate complex planning issues through clear reports, maps, and graphics, and a passion for advancing thoughtful, community-informed, pro-housing planning.
