As Deputy City Engineer, you’ll step into a dynamic leadership role where you’ll:

• Lead and inspire a skilled team of designers in delivering impactful capital and maintenance projects.

• Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of City-wide initiatives.

• Drive innovation through a variety of high-impact projects, including:

• Bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicle transportation improvements

• Habitat restoration and environmental protection • Renewable energy and climate adaptation initiatives

• Stormwater, water, and wastewater system enhancements

Requirements include an equivalent to graduation from an accredited four (4)-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related field and five (5) years of civil engineering and / or public works experience, including two (2) years of high- level project management or supervisory experience.
