As chief of materials management you will:
• Work closely with engineering and product development teams to plan for new products
• Collaborate with senior leadership, marketing, and sales staff to forecast production needs
• Team up with shop leadership to plan manufacturing
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials for products
• Build and maintain relationships with material suppliers and subcontractors
• Ensure that the right materials are on hand to meet demands
• Maintain inventories of materials, Work in Process, and Finished Goods.
• Manage shipping, environmental compliance, and international permits
• Maintain and communicate accurate and up to date records
• Contribute to process analysis, reporting, and improvement initiatives
• Learn from senior staff and mentor up and coming associates

Your most important qualifications include leveraging your talents to take on new objectives while thriving in a fast paced and diverse team environment. Your most valuable foundational skills include:
• Analytical thinking with problem solving aptitude
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience learning new software systems
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Hands on experience with forecasting and budgeting
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
• Productive organizational and time management skills

The ideal candidate may also have these types of additional qualifications:
• Previous experience with planning and materials management
• BSc/BA in logistics or similar relevant field
