2017 Arcata Bay Oyster Festival
The 27th Arcata Bay Oyster Festival tradition continues on June 17 with a renewed focus on local makers, local talents, environmental health, and the diversity of our community. It’s a celebration of North Coast culture with chefs, merchants, volunteers, and guests reveling in award-winning oysters and other tasty non-oyster delicacies, local beverages, live local music and art. Join over 13,000 people for the largest one-day event in Humboldt County, the Oyster Capital of California.

The Lost Coasters Traditional Hawaiian Island Band will play in the Art Market, and there will be live music on Green Street.

On H St, between 9th & 10th Street. Over a dozen Artisans to satisfy your local, handmade and eclectic shopping needs.
GREEN STREET
on H Street between 8th & 7th Streets
The Redwood Coast Energy Authority will be displaying zero emission vehicles, some of the latest models.
Humboldt Green is introducing their Appellation Project and hosting live music.
Redwood National Park is setting up activities for all to enjoy.
“Aquaculture Alley” focuses on Humboldt Bay and our watersheds, shellfish, marine biology research done by Eureka High School students, information about Arcata Main Street’s Plaza Watershed Program, and other organzations.
There will be pedal-powered smoothies, Zero Waste, and other surprises! Our community is progressing with environmental stewardship and Arcata Main Street’s Oyster Fest is proud to highlight it during the festival.
BEVERAGES:
Local wines, beer, and hard cider are served from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., along with a variety of non-alcoholic drinks all day. Please keep in mind that you must buy tokens and a $2 wristband to enjoy alcoholic beverages. The taps and bottles close at 4:30 pm.

6 different booths will sell $6 tokens at the corners of 9th & H St. and 8th & G St. They can also can be purchased online until 6 p.m. the night before the festival - $20 for 4 tokens. Pick up at WILL CALL the next day, Saturday, (8th & G St.). Wristbands are $2.

At token booths and WILL CALL. The rest of our beer cups are PET#1 recyclables. Be sure to drink responsibly, and recycle your cup!

Redwood Curtain, Six Rivers, Eel River, Mad River Brewing Co., and Lost Coast Brewery. 3 different beer booths; last call 4PM, closed at 4:30.

from Humboldt Cider – at all beer booths. Wrangletown Cider at both Humboldt Wine Association booths (east and north).
LOCAL WINE
Bergeron Winery, Elk Prairie Vineyard, Fieldbrook Winery, Lost Coast Vineyards, Monument Mountain Vineyards, Moonstone Crossing Winery, Old Growth Cellars, Riverbend Cellars, Rosina Vineyard, Winnett Vineyards, Briceland Vineyards Winery, Whitethorn Winery, and Sun Valley Vineyards. 3 booths: Humboldt Wine Association, Humboldt County Grown Wines: Quality Assured.
Sodas and Juices from several vendors. Hydration Stations (water!) will be at every corner and every beer/wine booth. Bring your water bottle from home, or use your festival cup.
FARMER’S MARKET – On 8th Street and I Street, until 2pm.
TRANSPORTATION:
FREE Shucker Shuttle from Humboldt State University (on LK Wood) and Arcata High (16th & M St) every 10-12 minutes, 9 am to 6:00 pm. Follow the arrows. Do not drive to the Plaza!
Ride your bike and avoid all the parking hassle! Bicycle parking available at various points around the Plaza.
If you live in Arcata you can catch an Arcata/Mad River bus. Or ride to Arcata on the comfy Redwood Transit System from Trinidad, Willow Creek, Eureka … even Garberville.
Private parking lots near the Plaza, like the Safeway/CVS lot will NOT be available to festival goers and they are planning to tow cars again, at the owner’s expense. Please plan on using the above alternatives.
Uber will also pick up and drop off at the 10th Street shuttle stops all day. Covered locking bike racks will also be available.
