29th Annual Trinidad Memorial Ceremony
The Trinidad Civic Club’s 29th Annual Memorial Ceremony will commence on Sunday, May 26th, at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be held at Trinidad Bay Memorial Park at Edwards and Trinity Streets in front of the Memorial Wall honoring those lost or buried at sea. The Ceremony, conducted by officiant Dana Hope, includes bagpipes, an invocation, a tribute to fallen Coast Guardsmen, a poem, a soloist, the reading of all the names memorialized, taps and a Coast Guard helicopter flyover. The memorial, approximately 45-minutes long, takes place rain or shine with no seating provided. To preserve the solemn nature of the event, the roads surrounding the immediate vicinity will be closed from 1 to 3 p.m. For information about the event, please call (707) 677-3655.
