Annual Trucker’s Christmas Parade

Eureka

Thousands of people line the streets of Eureka and delight at the evening spectacle of huge trucks adorned in holiday lights. A Eureka tradition for over 30 years, the Christmas convoys range in size from 50 to 100 rigs.

The 18-wheelers stretching as long as 60 feet, including some with special parade additions that might be tacked on: bandstand platforms, dancing reindeer, flying fish, you name it. Some trucks have been covered in more than 40,000 lights, requiring three generators to run them.

Parade Route:
Begins 6 p.m. - Redwood Acres Fairgrounds, turns right on I St. to 7th St. and right again on Myrtle Ave. and back to Redwood Acres parking lot, where the trucks will be lit up on display and awards will be presented.

Hosted by Rex Bohn and Friends, the proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Redwoods.
