42nd Annual Lupine Bash
Be part of the annual tradition of removing invasive yellow bush lupines from our coastal dunes during the 42nd Annual Lupine Bash! Although this plant is native to Central California, it is not native to Humboldt County and is considered invasive in our coastal dune environments. Participants will help restore natural diversity by removing invasive yellow bush lupines at the Lanphere Dunes Unit of Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Gloves, tools, and morning refreshments will also be provided. Please bring a mug for coffee or juice, drinking water, and wear closed-toed shoes. Meet at Pacific Union School in Arcata to carpool to the protected site. For more information and to arrange for a large group, please contact Friends of the Dunes.
