HIFF 54 FESTIVAL DATES: APRIL 19TH - APRIL 25TH, 2021 https://www.hsufilmfestival.com/tickets The OLDEST and most historical student-run film festival is about to begin!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQyTCFrqJgQ&t=2s WE–the students of Humboldt State University–have been inviting filmmakers (working in traditional, experimental and non-traditional modes) to enter their film shorts into our festival and that makes us the world’s oldest student-run film festival. Our students judge the entries from September to March. The final film programs will be screened by our guest industry judges and available to view for our fest week program. We are happy to announce that our 54th Int’l Film Festival will be held both In-Person at The Minor Theatre and, for the first time, as a Virtual Fest! Our festival promotes the art of film, not only as a means of entertainment, but also as a vehicle for self-expression and a stimulus for dialogue about social, political and cultural issues.
