59th Annual Westhaven Wild Blackberry Festival
Join us for the 59th Annual Westhaven Wild Blackberry Festival, the largest annual fundraiser of the year for the Westhaven Volunteer Fire Department. Each year, the members of the Westhaven Ladies Club generously volunteer their time to bake several hundred pies and jars of jam. This year, they’re planning to bake more pies than ever so be sure to get them while you can; the pies typically sell out! Enjoy live music from local bands all day and purchase one-of-a-kind wares and crafts from local vendors from across the county. There will also be activities for the kids and our volunteer firefighters will be on-hand to give tours and answer questions. In addition to pies and jams, other food for sale includes barbeque, chili, and other snacks, as well as local beer and wine and soft drinks. As always, all proceeds from the sale of food and drinks go to the Westhaven Volunteer Fire Department. We’re also selling t-shirts designed by one of the volunteer firefighters; the proceeds from the sale of each shirt going to WVFD. The Westhaven Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization that relies on the money generated from this event to operate for the year. Hope to see you there!
