“Starting at 10 am to 6 pm Saturday December, 13th 12/13/2014 the second Saturday in December at 1611 Peninsula Drive, Manila (Arcata, CA) .The site of Redwood Coast Montessori School.With tables, Kid’s corner and food in the main Hall and two rooms for presentations.
We are still looking for volunteers. More the merrier, if you have an idea, you play an instrument or you want to help in any way get in touch.
As Always you can expect : Free delicious food all day catered by Eureka & Arcata Food Not bombs, the food as always will be so good! All food cooked by FNB every year was donated. Produce donated by local farmers. Coffee donated by local roasters. The Book Fair is a day of community empowerment that tastes so good
Child care– The kids corner has drawings and books puppets and toys fun stuff.
There have been face painting paper making, readings and more. Even a puppet show, this year maybe there will be a short play? We have HGR published coloring books “The Walnut Tree by Kati Texas” available at the kid’s corner for donation or free.
The activity there depends on child interest. There are adults there the whole event to entertain and supervise children.One year it became a child run discussion corner with story telling!

All the amazing publishers you have come to expect at The Humboldt Anarchist Book Fair and some new ones little black cart books, AK, PM Long Haul and the rest will be there. This year we are inviting some supportive local book sellers this year also.
This year is for ideas that we can use to become stronger healthier and freer. Great inspiring ideas, heart and resilience to overcome this oppressive system and live in balance with nature.The Humboldt Anarchist Book Fair is chock full of ideas and practices that can be used day to day to create strong movements, to provoke life changing thoughts, all to help create a sustainable free cooperative society!
The Anarchist Book Fair builds bridges between people and social movements, It is a great time to snack get great books and learn about amazing things that are going on.
Here is tentatively what you can expect this year. We are still in the process of organizing.
There have been many successes in our area lately!EF! success in the Mattole and Strawberry Rock! We will hear from them at the book fair.

“Doug Gilbert is an anarchist living in the East Bay in California. He’s also a bus driver. And he’s currently a cohost on Free Radical Radio on Berkeley Liberation Radio. Aaaalso, Doug just wrote this book entitled, “I Saw Fire: Reflections on Riot, Revolt and the Black Bloc”.
