The next A Reason to Listen, Humboldt’s longest-running live poetry event, is happening Thursday, November 6 at 7pm at Septentrio’s Barrel Room in Arcata (935 I Street). Our Featured Poet will be David Holper, inaugural Poet Laureate of Eureka who will be reading from his brand-new book of pandemic era poems, Bord för En (Swedish for “table for one”). Sign-ups for the open mike section of the evening begin at 6:30 pm. Live music by the amazing DJ Goldylocks. Live art by the inimitable Dre Meza. The cover is a sliding $7-10 at the door: cash or Venmo. Copies of Holper’s books will be available for signing and purchase.
