A Reason to Listen December 2025 Show

The next A Reason to Listen, Humboldt’s longest-running live poetry event, is happening Thursday, December 4 at 7pm at Septentrio’s Barrel Room in Arcata (935 I Street). The featured Poet will be Steve Carll, for the release of his new book of poems, Dreaming for a Click. Special guests include DJ Goldylocks, and Live Art with Dre Meza! The open mic is available to the public and sign ups begin at 6:30pm, along with a book fair where poets can sell their book and chapbooks. The show starts at 7pm. Copies of Carll’s book will also be available for purchase and signing. Cash or Venmo only for the door and book purchases.
