Afternoon of Dance
Join the Humboldt Arts Council in the Morris Graves Museum of art for An Afternoon of Dance featuring The Upper Studio, Sunday, May 12, at 2 p.m.
The Upper Studio, directed by Heather Sorter, is in its third year of training pre-professional ballet dancers and presenting classical ballet performances for local audiences. Afternoon of Dance with the Upper Studio includes class level demonstrations, performances in various styles of dance including contemporary, Jazz, and modern, and features excerpts from the classical ballet, Paquita. With live music accompaniment, audience members are additionally treated with a sneak preview of the upcoming full length ballet, A Midsummer’s Night Dream.
Join the Upper Studio for an Afternoon of Dance at the Morris Graves Museum of Art! There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.
An Afternoon of Dance is made possible by the Humboldt Arts Council’s Docents for Dancing.
