All Seasons Orchestra Celebrates the Holidays
The All Seasons Orchestra invites the community to two free holiday concerts. Get ready for a great performance on Saturday December 10 at 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1660 Heartwood Drive, McKinleyville. This concert is brought to you by All Seasons Orchestra, the Arcata Recreation Division and a generous sponsorship by the Rodden Family. Donations are optional. The evening concert features favorites such as “A Christmas Festival,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Festive Sounds of Hanukkah,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.” In addition, the Orchestra will perform “Fiddler on the Roof” and “A Waltz for All Seasons,” written by beloved All Seasons Orchestra founder George Rodden. A brass quintet will be on hand to play some holiday selections. Join the Orchestra again on Sunday, December 11 at the annual Fortuna Christmas Music Festival in the Fortuna River Lodge, 1800 Riverwalk Drive, Fortuna. All Seasons Orchestra kicks off the festival promptly at 12:30 p.m. with multiple musical performances until the 6 o’clock hour. Both community concerts are free and are a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season with some holiday joy.
