All Seasons Orchestra Spring Concert

Come join us for a night of music at the 2017 All Seasons Orchestra Spring Concert. Enjoy this free concert on Sunday, May 14, from 7-9 p.m. in the D Street Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street. Our set takes you through history highlighting music from the baroque period, to the classical period, to what some call impressionist music, a patriotic march, show music, a piece written for youth, and a song produced by a folk rock duo. Prepare to enjoy music spanning 400 years of time. Featuring: Bridge Over Troubled Water by Paul Simon and Arranged by James Burden, Youth Overture by Emma Loy Diemer, National Emblem by Edwin Bagley and edited by Clark McAlister, En Bateau from Petite Suite by Claude Debussy and Arranged by Merle J. Isaac, The King’s Musicians by J. Baptiste Lully and Arranged by Albery Seay, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Arranged by Jane Thomas, West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein and Arranged by Jack Mason. This community orchestra, open to all ages, meets Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the D St. Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street in Arcata. All Seasons Orchestra includes strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. Seasonal performance opportunities are offered throughout the year. Fees: $25 per season / $30 per season for non-residents.
