Amateur Radio Field Day
Come join the Humboldt Amateur Radio Club for their annual Field Day event at the Woodley Island Marina on Saturday June 22 from 9 AM until 5 PM. Every year on this weekend, amateur radio operators around the country set up portable two-way shortwave radio stations that are open to the public. Arrive early and watch as a 40 foot tall antenna tower is set up. Come mid-day and as they contact other stations around the US. Or get on the air yourself - they’ll show you how.
