Amazing Tectonic Landscape of the Lost Coast Lecture

Shelter Cove Community Clubhouse

The Amazing Tectonic Landscape of the Lost Coast: Earthquakes, Mountains, and Rivers is the title of part 2 in a lecture series highlighting the local work of the United States Geological Survey. Hosted by Friends of the Lost Coast & BLM King Range at the Shelter Cove Clubhouse on Friday, December 4, this Lost Coast Lectures series event showcases the work of USGS geologists, Stephen DeLong and Jessie Vermeer. Their studies of erosion, river systems, and land uplift are helping scientists better understand the faults and earthquake hazards that shape the region. Doors at 5:30pm, with free lecture at 6pm.
