The wait for outdoor shows is over! July 23rd from 4pm-10pm, we are hosting ARCANE ON THE BLOCK, our first ever block party! This is not just a show, but a full art immersion. Get ready to rock the block with live bands, DJs, singers, dancers, fire performers, aerialists, art installations, live artists, bar, food vendors, art & merchant vendors, VIP lounge, and more! This is an all ages event, with something for everyone. Oakland live indie electronica duo, MODERN FUTURE will headline the day entertainment and EDM producer,singer, and musician, GUDFELLA will be headlining the evening with a high energy, uplifting set. Future Bass producer ELUID will be performing as well as singer and saxophonist, RYE STONE, a surprise band, THE VAGABOND DANCERS, BELLA VITA FIRE TROUPE, AERIALISTS and more. We encourage you to bring your own cup to cut down on waste! We will have reusable event cups for purchase, for just $2 if you forget. Don’t miss this incredible immersive experience as we kick off our summer outdoor show series! MODERN FUTURE:
Modern Future is an Oakland-based duo blending EDM, pop, and trap into their own unique sound. Having spent the last few years producing for artists such as Big Freedia, En Vogue, Transviolet, and more, they have now turned their focus to crafting an immersive and transportive new live show. Incorporating drums, guitars, and synths their musicianship and nuanced improvisations set them apart from the ubiquitous laptop DJ sets of today’s electronic music scene. Their music has been equated to “the propulsive energy of a charging rhino” and “bottles popping and booties rocking from start to finish.” Their upcoming releases marry their signature sound with elements of hip-hop, funk, and rock that will undoubtedly expand your sonic horizons.

ELUID:
ELUID is a refreshing blend of future bass, house, melodic & trap music. As a DJ and producer it is hard to put him in a box as he is constantly pushing the limits of his ability . His style is and the energy he brings to the room is contagious. The thing that really sets him apart from other DJs is his refined style and although he has only been a dj for 4 years, his talent far exceeds his time in the industry. He flawlessly blends a variety of music to get even the wallflowers out on the floor dancing. He steps on set and delivers an experience that will captivate the audience through his stunning stage presence, visuals, and superior song choices.
ELUID has been compared to the likes of artists such as Dillon Francis, Flume, Ekali, DEVAULT, TroyBoi and RL Grime. He is quickly gaining popularity on the west coast as he is booking shows at venues all over Northern California. ELUID finished a year-long residency at the Arcata Theatre Lounge and has recently been signed to Arcane Artists. He has been booked for the Tacoma Music Festival, Stay at Home Music Fest, as well as the Virtual Burning Man 2020 and played multiple live streams during the COVID-19 pandemic.

RYE STONE:
Rye Stone is a soul and jazz artist residing in Mckinleyville California. Rye started playing alto saxophone at the age of eleven in grade school. However, during high school Rye got really interested in Jazz music and decided to start playing the tenor sax.
Rye later went to study at Cabrillo College because their jazz department was a great avenue to harness his skills as a sax player. At this time,Rye really was getting inspired by soul and r&b music. He was inspired by such artists as Al Green, Ottis Redding and Curtis Mayfield. So Rye started playing and singing at venues in Santa Cruz.
Rye Stone moved to Mckinleyville in 2004 and was the sax player and singer in a few bands such as Blue Rhythm Revue and Saint John and the Sinners, they played every weekend around Humboldt. He wanted something more original and started writing music, playing the piano more and recording in his home studio. So Rye has been collaborating with hip hop artists producing soulful music that incorporates old school soul, hip hop and bits of EDM. His lyrics are emotional and you can feel that he feels everything he plays and sings.
VVAFFLEHOUSE:
Aidan Belleau is heavily influenced by the funky get-downs of the soul and disco eras. Constantly delivering hot samples and deep remixes of the classics you’ve known and loved; his goal…to feed your soul. Creating a space to move and groove, the House music culture of freedom, love, equality, and respect speaks through his music. Frequenting desert renegades, large festivals, and block parties has given versatility and ability to make any crowd move.
VVAFFLEHOUSE is no stranger to the stage as he started his dj career in 2014 playing small shows for Church of Music, giving him the momentum to produce his first festival in 2019. Since then he has played on stages across the PNW and if you haven’t heard his music, you’ve probably had his waffles.
He’s been known to serve fresh vvaffles during his sets, the warm aroma and sweet scents of syrup, crispy hot cakes, and fresh fruit keep the crowd dancing. Through feeding the dance floor with tasty beats and soul food, the energy can infinitely recirculate back to the music chef, creating a connected and ever-evolving space.

“Some Like it Hot” weaving together Fire and Dance. Fire dancing troupe offering unique live entertainment honoring the alchemy of transformation through the sacred element of Fire. Founded by Bella Fire In 2010 BVF is a dynamic collective of fire/ flow artists in
Humboldt County and a Dream maker project of the Ink People Center for the Arts based out of Arcata California. This fire dance troupe lights up at night, bringing the spice of life to every event!

As a VIP guest, you will receive access to the VIP lounge with couches, canopy shading, as well as a private bar and dance area. You will receive a drink voucher which can be used on any house mix drink, beer, champagne, or wine. You will also receive a reusable stadium cup.
CABANAS WITH BOTTLE SERVICE EXPERIENCE
If you want the premium experience, reserve a Cabana complete with fire tables & canopies and bottle service. These can be pre reserved or reserved at the event, if still available. LOCATING THE EVENT:
It is located on Nst in Arcata, between 8th & 9th streets. (enter from 8th street)

Bathrooms:
There are 5 porta potties at the entryway to the event, there is extra toilet paper inside. Please be respectful and do not ruin the extra rolls.
Getting to the Event:
We recommend ride sharing, and using the drop off zone on 8th st outside the event. There will also be limited street parking around the event as well as a lot off 9th street around the corner from the event. We encourage you to bike, there will be a bike lock outside the gate of the event for free or a bike valet available for $5 at the event.
Parking:
Park in one of the two lots outlined in the diagram off of Vance Avenue, or along Vance Ave. Do not park on New Navy Bass Rd.
Event will be held off of Samoa Rd
Parking will be designated, follow instructions at check in and people with light wands.
Bathrooms:
