Join Linda Wise, artist, scientist and Manager for Recology Humboldt County, as she discusses how we can use innovation, science and creativity to reinvent waste. Wise’s Art Talk realets to the MGMA’s 20th annual Junque Arte exhibition, celebrating creative reuse of recycled materials in art. The Junque Arte Exhibition runs October 29-November 30 in the Anderson Gallery at the Morris Graves Museum of Art. As the Manager of Recology Humboldt County, Wise is struck by the amount of waste humans generate and how quickly objects seem to lose their usefulness in our society. “Through my artwork, I want to mainly convey the reality of waste the way I see it, and that is, there really is no such thing as ‘waste’ and modern generations will continue to look toward innovation, science and creativity in order to address the issue it creates.”
