Art Talk with Mark Bowles

Join artist Mark Bowles for Art Talk at the Morris Graves Museum of Art, Sunday, September 7 at 2 p.m. Bowles painting exhibition, Time runs September 4 through October 19 at the MGMA. Bowles has been painting all his life. Fascinated with texture, form and color, his large scale landscapes almost vibrate with intense color. “Exploring color, composition, the quality and attitude of a line, as well as various materials will always fascinate and be tools for me. It is my goal to draw the viewer into my space and let them become involved in their own personal journey and discovery of the work. The ultimate reward for me is to communicate something new to the viewer even if for just a moment in time. Painting is my commitment, my passion and my fulfillment.” Bowles studied painting at the California College of Arts and Crafts and the Institiudio Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. His work is presently collected and shown nationally.
