Sarah Lesher Artist Talk
Eureka-based painter, printmaker, graphic designer and sculptor, Sarah Lesher’s datacrush series of work for The Black Faun Gallery includes screen prints, paintings and sculpture that explore habits and relationships and how they are influenced by smartphones and social media. Sarah Lesher will be giving a presentation on the process and content of datacrush, her current body of work on display at Black Faun Gallery. She has used several different substances to make pigments and flocking for her screen prints, and will be talking about the making and meaning of each of them, as well as the experimental techniques she used to make text and imagery using the iPhone, texting, and snapchat.
